Swim Program Levels

Every swimmer learns differently, which is why each lesson is tailored to the student's age, experience, and goals. I am dedicated to ensuring each swimmer has a lesson plan that is personalized to them. Whether your swimmer is getting in the water for the first time or you're looking to have them refine their swimming techniques, each lesson is designed to build confidence, safety, and strong swimming skills at their pace.

Beginner Lessons

In beginner lessons, I prioritize swimmers learning safety skills and becoming more comfortable in the water. The skills I focus on in beginner lessons are

- Breath holding/Blowing bubbles

-Back floats

-Crab walking/Climbing out of the pool

-Basic freestyle/Pulling and Kicking

- Practicing 'falling into the water and getting to safety' scenarios

Intermediate Lessons

In intermediate lessons, swimmers should be comfortable in the water and holding their breath. I expand on these prior skills by working on

- Freestyle / Side breath

- Flutter kicks on stomach and back

- Breaststroke / Frog kicks

- Backstroke

- Glides

Advanced Lessons

In Advanced lessons, swimmers are expected to already know at least one stroke (freestyle or breaststroke) and be able to perform it with little to no help. After one stroke is mastered, we work on

- Perfecting all strokes (Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke)

- Treading water

-Dolphin kicks

- Flip-turns

- Diving

Do I need to be present for the swim lesson?

For the safety and comfort of every swimmer, a parent or guardian must be present for the entire lesson. Parents are welcome to watch the lesson at the pool or remain inside the home during the session.

Where do lessons take place?

Lessons are held in your own pool, allowing swimmers to learn in a familiar and comfortable environment.

Do you work with children with special needs?

I strive to provide a positive and supportive learning environment for all swimmers. While I have experience working with autistic and disabled swimmers, please contact me before booking so we can discuss your child's individual needs and determine the best approach.

How often are the swim lessons?

Lessons can be booked for...

- Twice a week

- Weekly

- Bi-weekly

- Casual drop-in lessons (depending on availability.)

Private vs Semi-Private lessons?

Private lessons are strictly one-on-one, consisting of one child and I.

Semi private lessons I accept up to 3 swimmers of similar skill level.

What is your pay policy/ refund policy?

Each lesson is expected to be paid for on the day of the lesson, either before or directly after. I accept a number of payment methods including Cashapp, Zelle, Venmo or cash.

I do not offer refunds after a lesson has been completed, however you can decide to discontinue lessons at any time.

Payment is never expected if a lesson is canceled due to unforseen circumstances such as sickness, weather, etc.

How many lessons will my child need?

Every swimmer progresses at their own pace. The number of lessons depends on their age, experience, confidence level, and individual goals. However, for faster progress, more consistent lessons (lessons once or twice a week) is recommended.

What does my child need for lesson?

Please have your swimmer ready with a swimsuit with a towel when I arrive. A personal pair of goggles is recommended, but I will always bring a pair to borrow if needed.
